Now this is what I call creative recycling!

Mixed media artist, Orna Feinstein, created a large-scale “MULTI-LIBRIUM” site-specific paper installation made of 10,000 reused cards that will be on display at Box13 Artspace in Houston from Saturday, July 14th through Saturday, August 18th, 2012.

MULTI-LIBRIUM is installed on the floor and examines and illustrates the concept of equilibrium in which all biological systems co-exist, survive and function, a concept that operates both on a cellular and exterior level. Taking four years to create, it’s made up of more than 10,000 reused art invitations and measures 50 feet x 23 feet.

It looks so amazing and I would love to try to create something like this myself, a holiday display from recycled cards or wrapping paper perhaps?  Have you ever created a display like this?  We’d love to hear about it.

    • Maybe some of the children’s drawings/paintings from Summer Spree camp? We can roll the papers so that some of them have drawings on the outside and some on the inside.
