Richard Estell, an Artist to Watch

Today’s artist to watch is Richard Estell.

Richard Estell is a painter whose primary subject of work is nature.  He has work in many private and public collections, has held solo and group exhibits and his paintings have been written about in a number of publications.  He teaches watercolor at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

and also teaches at several Philadelphia area colleges and universities.

I love how he uses color and light to convey a sense of honesty when capturing the essence of an object, subject or idea. I enjoy looking at his paintings because I think they are almost magical.  You agree?
