Today’s artist to watch is Graham Nash.
You may know Nash as a singer-songwriter from Crosby, Stills and Nash or The Hollies, but did you know that Graham Nash is also a world renowned photographer and digital imaging pioneer? It’s true. He even has a portrait of David Crosby in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
If you want to see his work for yourself, check out “The Photography of Graham Nash,” an exhibition of 50 of Nash’s images, which opens on Tuesday, October 2 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the House of Photographic Art (HOPA) at the historic Forster Mansion in San Juan Capistrano, CA (27182 Ortega Highway, 92675). Nash will even be on hand opening night to sign books and prints.
Some of the images on display include portraits of family and friends, fellow music world icons and cityscapes from his travels. It sounds really personal and reflective and I’d definitely stop to see it if I was in the area. Too bad I’m not.
