Every Friday I give you the Arty Facts about what’s going on at Community Arts Center over the weekend but this week the Arts Center is closed on Saturday because we’re bringing the art to State Street in Media from 10 a.m. ’til 5 p.m. for our Tenth Annual Fine Arts and Crafts Festival.
Festival-goers have the opportunity to buy quality original art (no mechanical prints) in wood, jewelry, ceramics, oil, pastel, and watercolor painting, fiber, sculpture, photography, mixed media, printmaking, glass, and drawing directly from over 50 of the Tri-State area’s best artists and artisans who were selected through a jury process. Attendees can meet the artists and get a look at art in the making through artists’ demonstrations.
This free family event also features live music with everything from jazz to steel drum calypso, plus children’s activities, artist demonstrations, an art raffle, great food from restaurants that participated in the Friends of the Festival Taste of Media Two fundraiser , local non-profit booths, and free parking in Media all day.
Proceeds from the Fine Arts and Crafts Festival support all the programs at the Community Arts Center including free exhibitions, concerts, and its extensive outreach program, ARTto go, which provides arts experiences throughout the Delaware Valley. So come on out for a great art-filled day of fun!
